Well damn. Condolences to the Thompson family. Man, I sure didn’t see this being the way the first year of private ownership would go.

      No kidding….

Article says he went through some complications following a surgery.

In the limited time he was owner of the Elks, he made a huge positive impact. Thank you, Mr. Thompson

It almost feels like a curse around here.

Mr. Thompson’s interest and investment was huge for the franchise and community. I understand his legacy in business was similar. He will be missed. Condolences to his family and the organization.

So sad that he just sold his business and was ready to just live life. This is a good reminder to live every day.

Part of life is unfortunately that it comes to an end. Condolences to the family, but I honestly don't get the tribute and all that. Honestly we also lost long time Esk Bill Manchuk this week as well.

Honestly, if our board of directors didn't run this club into the ground over the last 10 years prior, its unlikely we know who Larry was at all.

Godspeed Larry, and thank you for being the guy to bring in the people to get this team back on track.

I’m a little bit confused as to what’s not to get…

I mean, the many literally saved the franchise we all love from the brink of bankruptcy, and then proceeded to spend the last year of his life pouring resources, time and money into restoring it back to its former glory.

Hearing all the stories this week about the lengths he would go to make each and every person within the organization feel like a valued member of the club was heartwarming. I don’t think his impact on this franchise can be understated and to not do some kind of in game tribute to him would have been shocking.
