fajardo isn’t the worst qb to have at the helm..

    not at all
Agreed. And I don’t understand why it has to be Fajardo OR Ford. I’m a fan of both guys because where this franchise is right now we NEED both guys.

I was never ever a Harris fan when he played for the Esks, he moved the ball between the 20s but brutal in the red zone

I agree... I much prefer Cody over Harris. Harris seemed like a me me guy while cody is all about team.

Harris is the new Kevin Glenn. Good enough to put up numbers and win games early in the season but he’ll never be a championship QB IMO.

Its not Fajardo hate....its fair evaluation. There are things he does well, things he simply cannot do, and things he does that are questionable.

The other fact of the matter is this: Outside of Rankin, how many game changing players do we have on the offensive side of the ball? I can think of one, maybe two....one is on the bench behind Fajardo, and they refuse to use him in situations to alter opposition defensive game plans, while the other only gets used to spell off Rankin (instead of using his speed in a receiving capacity or twin back sets to get him outside).
Before you insult a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you insult him, you'll be a mile away, and have his shoes.

I remember a year when people were saying Ricky Ray was a boring QB who only cared about his completion percentage. All he did was "dink and dunk" to Calvin McCarty all year. But it was out of necessity. He had no other playmakers and, as a result, the play calling was heavy on short, high percentage passes. I love Ed Hervey, but he needs to eat some crow and admit that there are superstars in this league, and a lot of them are receivers. He needs to sign a Number 1 receiver for this team to get over the hump.
Lawler is the only receiver I would qualify as close to Superstar status. We haven't had Dunbar for most of the year, but Gittens is likely our best possession receiver regardless. I like Victor a lot (despite him being a former Buckeye). I trust Swerve to find the next guys.

                    THIS ^^^^^

Its a no-brainer. It isnt about QB controversy, or one or the other.....its use them both!!!

Agreed. One thing, though, that hasn't been mentioned lately... we traded MBT, straight up, for Fajardo. I think it's pretty clear by now who won that trade!
Out of my mind; back in five minutes.

Its so much of a no brainer that I wonder if Ford is refusing. We've had the same questions with two different regimes, there has to be more to the situation. This is purely speculation on my part of course.

As far as the game goes, I'm happy with how well our Defence has came around after a historically bad start to the year and we are doing it without Ceresna, Morgan, Anderson, Metchie, Bynam, and Robbie Smith, who were all day 1 starters. I rewatched the game yesterday and it was clear to see the chemistry they have built as there was a few times where the Riders called audibles after we showed blitz, only to have us change our call and drop out. Offensively we are never going to run away with a game, Cody always says that their focus is to end each drive with a kick, which shows their commitment to protecting the ball but sometimes you have to throw up a 50/50 ball and trust that your guy is going to make the play.

Whatever happens for the rest of the year, I feel like we have a lot to look forward to heading into 2026.

you'd think if ford was refusing, Hervey would have quickly traded him away.

But he also has a couple all time great playoff games on his resume, such as that one with Ottawa (can't remember the opponent) or the one he had with us in Montreal. The guy is just so damn unpredicatable as to whether he'll be great, decent, underwhelming or downright terrible. And there isn't really a pattern to figure out with him it just randomly happens.

Even coming into the season when Ford was slated as the starter, my view was always that I'd rather they both get shots as both guys bring something different to the game in terms strenghs and weaknesses, but they aren't as different stylistically as Ford and MBT were to warrant completely different playbooks depending on which guy is behind centre. I thought we had a good tandem, but the coaches seem to be locked into the theory where one guy has to be the guy all the time.

Wanted to also give O'Donnell some love. Appears to be a really athletic olineman. Has gotten to the second level a few times this season helping to spring Rankin for a couple of big runs,
